Work Schedule

The project will take place with the participation of students aged 7-10. It will begin in October and end in May. Students will be active in activities planned according to their level and English curriculum.The activity schedule below shows games and dates to be played.This is our English curriculum at schools.We will have themes in the light of this.

October

An online meeting will be held among all participants on online meeting platforms.

Each team prepares a sample of designed  posters and logos for  the project and and  all of us will vote for the most interesting poster and logo on the website.Also we will prepare our school boards for our students to get their interests.We will add our students on Twinspace as a member.We will have pre-questionnaires before we start the project.

We all are working at Primary Schools and teach English.We are working with 3rd  and 4th Graders on this project.According to their English curriculum at school and their background knowledge,we have  themes below to work on this month

Donating English Story Books 

As a second joint product,we have decided to donate English story books to a school in a village in Ağrı.Students will have an experience of donating their things that they no longer need.They will put their English story books in a box and send it to Ağrı.You will take a photo or video of them while they are placing them in a box.Mustafa Gökçek and his  students will collect the boxes and place them in their bookcase at their school. You will upload photos or videos  on Twinspace and Social Media

Picture Dictionary (Second joint product)

Mixed School Teams are making a Picture Dictionary.You will arrange an online meeting with your Mixed School Team partners and students.Students will meet each other and they will show their works.You can upload photos and videos on Twinspace and Social Media.You can mention about your category while uploading on Twinspace and Social Media.Each student will draw each word on a piece of paper.They will write the letter and the word,draw a picture and use it in a short sentence.You have a category and your words are written below.You can’t change your letter,category and number of letters.But if you find a different word with the same letter and the category,you can change it.When you finish your work,you will send them to Kristina Strinavic.She will make a book.Then we can print it.

In this theme,students are supposed to create an imaginative city map with some  buildings on it(bank,school,police station,museum,park,shopping centre,stadium,zoo,hospital,cafe,restaurant...) and students are encouraged to make sentences for each building they create.

For example:This is a cafe.My brother is at the cafe.He likes tea and coffee.He drinks Turkish coffee...etc.

Donating English Story Books 

As a second joint product,we have decided to donate English story books to a school in a village in Ağrı.Students will have an experience of donating their things that they no longer need.They will put their English story books in a box and send it to Ağrı.You will take a photo or video of them while they are placing them in a box.Mustafa Gökçek and his  students will collect the boxes and place them in their bookcase at their school. You will upload photos or videos  on Twinspace and Social Media

Picture Dictionary (Second joint product)

Mixed School Teams are making a Picture Dictionary.You will arrange an online meeting with your Mixed School Team partners and students.Students will meet each other and they will show their works.You can upload photos and videos on Twinspace and Social Media.You can mention about your category while uploading on Twinspace and Social Media.Each student will draw each word on a piece of paper.They will write the letter and the word,draw a picture and use it in a short sentence.You have a category and your words are written below.You can’t change your letter,category and number of letters.But if you find a different word with the same letter and the category,you can change it.When you finish your work,you will send them to Kristina Strinavic.She will make a book.Then we can print it.

Parent Notification:We will have a big online meeting on Zoom with parents to give them a short information about the project on the 9th of May at 14:00. Also if you a chance to  ask for short videos from parents commenting on the project and we will upload the videos on Twinspace and Social Media.
